who would you be?
Its hard to try to imagine what everyone on GC looks like and how they would act in everyday life. So how about this:
Imagine that we are all in the classroom at school. What student best represents you? Example: for me, I am the one who tries to keep quiet, but every once in awhile, I will ask the teacher a question about something I dont understand. Or I might raise an issue that will get students in a frenzy. Other than that, I try to stay to myself in an effort not to step on anyone's shoes. Who are you? |
The kid who sits in the back of the class with her nose buried in a book, who only looks up to make a smart-aleck remark. :D
|
Depends on the topic of the class...
If the class is boring I will sit in the back and goof off til the class is over. If it is a topic that interests me, I will be the main one participating in discussions. I hope there is no one on GC that is the type that always questions the prof, like they know everything about the topic and prof is an idiot. I LOATHE these people. |
I'm the girl that sits in the middle of the class as to not be thought of as a brown noser, but not as someone who doesn't care. I'll actively take part in conversations and ask pertinent questions.
|
I am the guy that sits nearest the door so when class ends I can get the heck out of there. I do answer the occasional question to make like I am paying attention.
|
I think this depends on what kind of class it is:
*A class I am interested in: Sit towards the front, take active part in the discussion, and take lots of notes! *A class I am not too interested in: Sit towards the back, pass a note or two to my friend next to me, read about the LSATs, or doodle where my notes should be. *A class I know I need to make a good grade in whether I am interested in the class or not : Sit front & center with a shirt that says "I LOVE STATS" (or whatever other class it may be) :p |

Depends on the class. If it's something simple like Spanish, I'd be the guy who sits in the middle or the back and basically answer 80% of the questions and brownose the teacher. If it was something harder for me like Asian studies 420, I'd be zntke |
I am very quiet in class. Everyonce in a while, I will bring up an insightful point in my class, but aside from that I am quiet. Oh! And I also love to argue about issues I feel very strongly about, when they are rised in class (although I never bring them up).
Hmmmmm... Perhaps I am not as quiet as I thought. Still, I don't really like to talk to people in class all that much. |
we got this one cat in class...he's a PHd guy, and the rest of us are master's students. well, this fool always feels the need to ask question, but in a way which is conversational with the prof...like he's your buddy, pal. i really don't care how you like to think, fool...just shut up so we can take notes. did i mention this MAB (he's not a sigma, he's a Mark Ass Buster) annoys the piss out of me?
|
It depends, most importantly I want to blend in.
If everyone is quiet and being serious, I'll do the same. If everyone is goofing off and slacking, I'll do the same. I VERY seldom take notes or pay attention in class....unless the subject matter is interesting. I spend the largest portion in class SLEEPING. |
I would be the one making the teacher and classmates laugh with my funny stories...

Re: who would you be?
I sit in the front of the class, hate to speak up in class, and will only answer a question if nobody in the room knows the answer. I rarely take notes, but do pay attention to the lecture. If I have a question, I will wait until class is over to ask. Oh yes, I'm usually one of the first to be out of the door. My bag is packed a few minutes before class is over. That's me. :)
|
I bring up stuff when I get bored with the lecture. But its all relevant. Then I NEVER...EVER follow up, i just start the conversation so I get a break from the boring ass lecture.

Most classes, I will take notes and listen but if it is a DAC (dry azz course) and a friend is in it, we sit side by side in the back or off to the side and write notes to each other. If it is a dry azz course and no friend who will write notes with me is in the course, I stare at the clock, make THINGS TO DO LISTS, write letters, write poems, DOODLE the 6 things I know how to draw over and over. If it is a class that stimulates me orally, I am a talker and will be all up in the discussions. **missing undergrad** |
I would be in the corner wearing a DUNCE cap! :p
Actually, in grade school when the teachers would ask a question, I would raise my hand. The teacher would say, "Is there anyone besides Cream who knows the answer?" :) |
