What Is Your Political Party Affiliation?

I'm a Registered Democrat.

How about you?

lil_sunshine 02-27-2003 06:10 PM

I'm a registered Democrat as well. I have noooooo plans to switch up anytime soon. :D

Gina1201 02-27-2003 06:51 PM

Registered Democrat as well.

I don't like either the Republicans nor the Democrats. Neither party has seriously addressed the concerns and needs of the Black community, at least not in my opinion.

Why do you vote Republican and Green if you're a Democrat? Just curious...

I'm a DEMOCRAT!

Because DC is a Democrat's city. If I registered as Republican or Green, then I'd have no say in Democratic primaries here.

Registering as a Democrat allows me to vote for the most qualified Democratic candidate in the primaries, and if I chose, vote with my conscience in general elections.

If I lived in a state that was more or less equally Dem or Repub., then I would vote Democrat, such as in Presidential elections. But since DC's electoral votes will ALWAYS go Democrat, I felt like I could vote for Ralph Nader and still feel good about myself if the Dems lost.

Kinda confused. Why would want to vote Republican in your Muncipal elections? Do you align yourself more with Repulicans' viewpoints or with the Dems viewpoints in the municipal elections?

Worst of TWO EVILS

Like mentioned above, I don't put much stock in EITHER party. However, I'm a registered Democrat. It( the democratic party) is the lessor of two evils.

I find it impossible to see the logic(if it exists) in being a republican. The current administration fumbled the healthy economy built up by the democrats, and put us, as a nation, unecessarily in war. He's the stupidest president ever to occupy the whitehouse.

Middle-of-the-road

Independent. Also dislike both major parties. Am a pro-business moderate in terms of philosophy. If we have to pay higher taxes, I want them going to education. Not in favor of long-term AFDC.

For the most part, Republicans. A Republican in DC is more like "Democrat Lite."

Democrat

straightBOS 04-05-2003 02:10 AM

Registered Republican.
