new around here, and to GPhi!

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to introduce myself... I'm Laura and I'm a pledge (or 'new member' as my chapter sometimes calls us) at the Epsilon Tau chapter of Gamma Phi Beta (at the U of R - in upstate NY).

I didn't go through formal rush... but they had informal, so I went because I knew one of the sisters from mutual friends/frat boys. heh. So I went, got a bid, accepted, and I'm loving every minute!

We only have 6 pledges, and the chapter isn't that big here, but we'll work on it!

One of my high school friends is a sister at the chapter at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities... small world!

Anyways, hi, and if anyone is from my province, gimme a shout!

-Laura

p.s. my name "Sprinkles" is a nickname from Gamma Phis here... lol. I thought it was fitting :)

Welcome to the Gamma Phi family! It only gets better.

I am an alumna of Gamma Epsilon at the University of Puget Sound (but was initiated at Washington Univ in St. Louis) and am a member of the Puget Sound Alumnae Chapter. I am the Treasurer of the Gamma Epsilon House Corp, their Scholarship Advisor, a member of the 2004 Int'l Nominating Committee, and the Chair of our Badge Task Force.

Enjoy your new member period!

in IIKE,
Melanie

Welcome to the sisterhood! I am a member of the Gamma Omega Chapter at University of Wisconsin - Platteville, where I'm scholarship chair, standards chair, assistant women's greek delegate, webmaster, and pace chair. Like Melanie, I can't ever seem to say no. :)

Enjoy your new member period - it's so much fun waiting for initiation and trying to guess what everything means!

In IIKE,
Kathleen

Welcome GPB!

It's always nice to meet sisters (new and old) on this board.

Ooooh Wisconsin? I'm originally from Wisconsin actually, Madison. I'm planning on visiting the chapter THERE when I go home on breaks. :)

I'm having a blast. hehe one of my best friends here is pledging with me too, and we're going to San Fran together for spring break, so we plan on quizzing each other on the info we need to learn for the exams and whatnot, and just general info about our sisters.

Thanks for the welcomes. :)

-Laura
