need HELP with Bid Day IDEAS
 

Hey Everyone! I was just wondering if anyone had any awesome ideas for sorority bid days? We have this huge thing where the girls are thrown out to us by the Sigma Rho Chis, and the boys are all around checking out the girls...but we need shirt themes and decoration ideas, and maybe activity ideas. Thanks! :confused: :rolleyes: :) :cool:

well, our bid day was a end of the summer luau. . .
we had electric blue shirt with our name on the left shoulder
and on the back was 'til the sun goes down. . .til the stars come out. . .i know what sisterhood is all about. . .phi sigma sigma- bid day luau 2002' . .. yeah, i came up with that
these shirts sold out the first day. . .
at the luau, we had a dj. . .the boys came and serenaded our girls. . .the PIKES doing the cutest rendition of 'you've lost that loving feeling' and handing out roses. . .

if you have the fraternities there, you can do games like
partner limbo
hula hoop contests(a big hit with the guys)
or just dance and hand out leis. . .

We have a very strict no alcohol/no boys policy at my school for bid day. Starts at 8 AM the day of bid day and runs through 8 AM the following day. If you go to Greek101.com they really do have some catchy slogans...even if you don't get them made through the company.

we tried voting AGAINST having the fraternities at our bid day
and we lost the vote by one sorority

If you have NPC groups on your campus having boys at bid day is a violation of the NPC Unanimous Agreements. Have your chapter president talk to your Greek Advisor and if that doesn't work have her contact your area advisor.

Two years ago a fraternity chapter serenaded one of the sororities on bid day. Of course the other chapters filed an infratction and it was a big headache. This year I made it very clear to our fraternities that the sororities were off limits the entire day, and that if they caused any infractions they would be penalized as well.

Fun Bid Day Shirt Ideas
 

I really like our Bid Day. It's low-key and we have roses and balloons and serenade the girls with some of our chapter's favorite songs. Here are some ideas from other chapters I saw at one of our national conferences. It had the usual Bid Day stuff on the front and on the back it had flowers (insert your sorority flower here) and the phrase "We sure know how to pick them." I thought it was cute. Also, a Sesame Street Theme, "Bid Day is Brought to you by the Letter(s) [insert your nickname or letters here]. :)
