Dee Gees are everywhere!

I went home (Marietta, GA) this past weekend and I went to dinner with my parents. When we were at dinner, my dad saw this man that he has known forever, so he went over and talked to him, while my mom and I went and talked to his wife and family. The man's mom was there too. The wife asked how was school. I told her that it has been busy since I joined a sorority. She asked which one, and I said "Delta Gamma". The man's mom, who had to be in her 80's, said "I'm a Delta Gamma!". That was just the neatest thing to me! I see sisters everywhere!!

DELTA GAMMA LOVE!!!!!!!!!

I have kind of an odd story that goes along with that. The summer after my freshman year, when I was considering who to rush, I was talking to a Sigma Nu from my hometown. I told him that I was really looking at "ALPHA" and he said that I should really consider Delta Gamma instead. He said that the chapter was improving a lot, and that he felt like I would really fit in. Well, now, here I am, a year later a Delta Gamma and vp:Panhellenic for my chapter... which puts me in charge of Alumnae Relations. I was really bored one day so I decided to look in the alumnae directory for cool stuff such as to see if Julia-Louis Dreyfus was listed, and I decided to look up my hometown to see if there were any Delta Gammas from there. Sure enough, the Sigma Nu's mom was a Delta Gamma alumnae! How neat is that?!

I was walking through the mall once, and I had my letters on. An older woman stopped me and asked if I was a DG, I said, "yes" and she said, "so am I!" THEN she said, "and my mom was a DG!" And I said, "SO IS MINE!"

It was just kinda funny...we chatted for a few minutes, but I run into DG's all over. I even had a lady once come up to me and grab my hand and start the DG Grip - I was floored - it was just so funny!

Finding DG's as a CDC

As a CDC, I was in an airport 3-5 times per month.
During my first visit (to the University of Utah)--
a woman walked up to me and my cabbage case and said,
"Are you a CDC for DG"--and I said that I was.
She said, "So was I!!!"
People would also approach me and say that
they knew Dg's--had a DG sister, or were DG's themselves. I even had
a nice older man take me for dinner at the airport during a layover because
he noticed the DG sticker on my travel stuff.
Dg's really are everywhere!

Indeed, DGs are *everywhere*!!!

I tagged along with a co-worker to meet his (female) friend for a drink. She told me that she went to U of Wisconsin, so of course, I had to ask the famous question, "Did you join a sorority?" and she said, "Yes, I joined DG!"
Woo hoo...

We met up on Tuesday night for a girly chat night....without my coworker, this time!!!
