Favorite International Actors/Actresses?
 

As much as I love American movies, I wish that foreign films and actors got a little more recognition. So does anyone have favorites?

I loved Audrey Tatou in Amelie. I think she was pretty good in Happenstance but not nearly as magical. Maybe that was more a factor of the film as a whole.

I'm also a new fan of Monica Bellucci, from Italy. I first saw her in this movie called Malena (which is really good, btw) and now I see she's going to be in some American films. She'll be in Tears of the Sun with Bruce Willis and the Matrix sequels. Not too shabby. Maybe she'll get some recognition after all.

I really the guy who played Squier Johns in The Seventh Seal. That movie rocked.

I thought that Juliette Binoche from Chocolat was excellent.

I think that Gong Li is talented and beautiful. She has been in several movies directed by Zhang Yimou (I'm almost certain I'm spelling that wrong) who, IMHO, is one of the best directors of our time.

and the kid who played Oliver Wood in the Harry Potter movie.

Okay, I am a sucker for British accents, so it doesn't take much, lol.

James Frain!!!! Damn is he hot! He was in Hilary and Jackie and The Count of Monte Cristo. Those eyes of his are sexy! Woo woo!!!!! And the curly dark hair!

So I just read that Monica Bellucci is actually married to Vincent Cassel, a verrrry attractive French actor who was in Brotherhood of the Wolf with her. And they're also in Irrersible together but I don't know if I'll be seeing that movie (a ten minute rape scene sounds like a little much for me). I wish they'd show more of Monica in the Tears of the Sun trailers. The movie looks good already but I'd like to see more of her part in it.
