graduation stoles
 

i was wondering if any of the chapters did wear their stoles with our letters on them at graduation. if so, was it just a sigma alpha thing or was it greek wide? all of our greeks at my school are trying to wear stoles for graduation but are meeting resistance. does anyone have any suggestions or perhaps statistics that you would be willing to share? they would be much appreciated! thanks so much

At Chico State we wear our stoles when we graduate and have had no problem. I am sorry to hear about the resistance.

What kind of resistance are you running into? We've had many chapters wear the stoles at graduation without any problems.

We had one of our moms make stoles for us and we proudly wore them at graduation. The yellow on green really stood out :)

Our graduation takes place by college. So all of the College of Ag students graduated in one ceremony, and other colleges did the same. For the grads in CALS it really was a big deal, but for the girls in the other colleges (not ag majors) we got mixed feelings. Some took it as an opportunity to showcase SA, while others felt out of place with stoles on, as none of our greek organizations wear stoles. So I guess it would be personal preference, but our chapter buys stoles for the seniors as part of their gift.:p
