What was the first thing you did after becoming an Alpha be it service project, chapter mtg, etc.?

Apologize if it is not a question for here.

I remember the very first thing I did after I became a member I went back to my dorm and slept for the whole entire day! I knew there would be plenty of time to celebrate but "Crossing those Burning Sands" was rough on a bruh! But after that I was so eager to do everything and I did!

Although I am not an Alpha, I thought the board might get a kick out of this ...

I went over at 6:05 am (on 4/5/80)... and the very first Frat project I participated in was a car wash ... at 8:30 am that SAME MORNING - I was SALTY as all-get out!!!

All I wanted to do was sleep - but we had to be "Good Brothers" and support the chapter activity, right?

That was my first taste of the reality that "The TRUE pledging starts AFTER you go over."
