Daredevil Ad.....LIES!!!!!!

Now, I do plan on seeing Daredevil ( :) @ Jennifer Garner), but something grabbed my attention.

Last night, I saw an ad for the movie, and it CLEARLY, SPECIFICALLY said "Ebert and Roeper give it "Two Thumbs Up"!"

Now, I occasionally go to fat and skinny's website to read their reviews. So I went on today, and what did I see?

Daredevil: Two Thumbs DOWN

LOL now I know that movie adverts have lied about this before, especially about the thumbs, but that was just too obvious......

Stan... most of these so-called 'reviews' plastered on movie ad copy is so diluted and taken out of context that they're downright misleading.

Example:

MOVIE CRITIC FROM A MAJOR METROPOLITAN NEWSPAPER: "This movie is a terrific and absolute waste of celluloid not worth taking your family to."

AD COPY: "TERRIFIC... WORTH TAKING YOUR FAMILY" -- Movie critic from major metropolitan newspaper.

See what I mean...? :D

True, but still, there's a difference between re wording something and just outright lying about something.

lol this wasnt taken out of context, what a lie.

haha... i remember something similar to that when Just Married came out.

I read a review in my local paper saying the movie was about as bad as Something About Mary and some other dumb movie combined... possibly worse.

The trailer said "Just like Something About Mary and [Insert other movie title here] combined!"

I guess that's cool if you like those movies... but I heard Just Married was terrible.

That is so wrong. No wonder I never look at ads. Come to think of it, I don't see many movies either because most of them suck. I think the last thing I saw at the theater was Bowling for Columbine (which didn't suck).

I just saw the movie last night and I really wasnt impressed. The fight scenes left much to be desired....I give it two thumbs down.
:(

All I've heard up to this point is that it had great potential but didn't get there. Probably won't even see it when it comes to DVD:D

No it didn't but it sent a lot of people bitching and moaning....it was a great movie. :)

Daredevil was a cool superhero. Much better than Aquaman or um........the Wonder Twins.

I want subway for lunch?

Not exactly a truthful movie though.

Course, he will defend up and down that what he put to the screen is right and truthful

I admit, I liked Roger and Me (which should be Roger and I, right?) and I thought he was a pretty good guy. But his views have just gooten so out there, and he thinks he's the only one who knows anything about anything with this country.
