Amycat: Hollywood age question
Are the ages posted on star bio's always correct?
It seems to me that some of them have been around longer than their ages suggest would even be possible. Thanks in advance for answering darlin'. |

In days of old, when the studio system was king and they had huge publicity departments, it was not unusual for 'flacks' to shave off a few years' age from an established or promising actor or actress. And they were taken pretty much at face value.
In this day and age, when you can easily find out anything on anybody, it's a lot more difficult to conceal your actual age. |
James - who in particular were you wondering about? I know there are some who are very tight lipped about it...

James-
The ages are not always correct, but its not always the actor's fault. For instance, on imdb.com, they have my friend Nick a year older than he is and my friend Dax three years younger than he is through no fault of either of theirs. |
I had a dance professor once who told us: "There are two things you can lie about on your resume - your weight and your age. Do both."
I think most of us do! Or we just don't say anything at all on those subjects! ;) |
I know some aspring actors that won't give their ages, just their age ranges. Thanks everyone for answering.
