we as men allow our competitive spirit to get the best of us at EVERYTHING, and take us to the brink(and beyond)of unecessary violence?

Have yall ever went to a club only to have your plans for a good time interrupted by unecessary drama? What were you thinking when it happened?

Yes this has happened to me a couple of times. I usually think "See this is why I do not go out very often." or "I am getting too old for this mess." or "You mean to tell me I paid $5, 10 and NEGROES want to act a fool." "I should have stayed home and watched a movie or read a book"

Truthfully it happens far too often so I never really go to the clubs anymore. I usually frequent fraternity or sorority shindigs and First Friday's ventures.

Even though I've guilty of my share of drama, I get tired of seeing it too. I feel embarrassed when I think of all of the times I fought because it was fun(unecessarily). I know it takes time for us to realize this, and now I wish I would've learned it sooner. Now I know Crimsontide how it made you and all others feel when it abrupts after you've paid money to have a good time at the club.

I don't party, unless it's a Sorority function. But I did almost come to blows with an entire family on a plane ride to Vegas. Actually it was a year ago this week.
I was 35 then, although I was not the cause, and I stand behind my right to defend myself. It was truly embarassing. Only a hand-full of blacks on the plane, and here we are clowning. I was hoping to see the family on the return trip, because I would have apologized, just because it was the right thing to do.

I feel ya. There's some people I'd like to apologize to also.
