That's as preposterous as saying that white fraternities can't be allowed near alcohol.

whether you know or beleive it or not, it is well know throughout Greek Land and The Media that the NPHC Fraternitys Haze in many dangerous ways! That is a Fact!

NHPC Fraternities on most Campuses are in the minority for members and the greatest new membership is via Alum Initiation.

You do not need to try to argue the point with me as I have been around a lot more years than you have and have many good freinds of NPHC Fraternites.

I am sure you will agree that all NHPC Organizatins do not condon this at all, but it happens in Chapters.

The media does not care if it is a Black or White Organization, it has a Greek Name and that is what counts.

How many people including Greeks know th edifference? Do you?!

If it is not done, then it is better for All of Us as a Total!

Exactly Tom! If someone hasn't memorized the Greek Alphabet or had lots of exposure to GLO's they won't know the difference between them... Kappa Alpha Psi, Alpha Xi Delta, Sigma Nu, Alpha Kappa Alpha... It's all Greek to them! (pun intended)

I can't believe you all are defending a rude comment. I keep fairly abreast of hazing news, and there are always more white frat boys getting in trouble for getting their pledges drunk than paddle-related incidents.

From my experiences, there is a lot of extreme hazing in local and NIC fraternities that do not involve any alcohol. All the actions committed by these organizations are of the same as those that you stereotype with NPHC groups.

OKAY JUST TO ASK A QUESTION. HOW MANY WHITE FRATERNITIES ARE IN MORATORIUM OR AT THE VERGE OF NATIONAL EXPULSION BRCAUSE OF HAZING? AS FAR AS THE NPHC-THE DIVINE 9 BLACK FRATERNITIES AND SORORITIES, I KNOW OF ONE FRATERNITY AT THE BRINK OF NATIONAL EXPULSION BECUASE OF HAZING INVESTIGATIONS, 1 SORORITY W/A NATIONAL MORATORIUM, AND AN ENTIRE REGION OF ANOTHER SORORITY GOING THROUGH A MORATORIUM FOR HAZING. NOT THAT ALL ORG'S DON'T HAZE BUT THERE ARE FAR FEWER BLACK ORG'S SO THEY GET MORE HEAT BECUASE THAT IS ALL THAT PEOPLE KNOW, ESPECIALLY ON BLACK CAMPUSES

Actuly, a chapter would be gone almost immeditely if hazing occured.

That's the same as making a statement that we need to pass a rule that no member from the PHC can drink or have a "keg" party.

And sorry to burst your bubble but I have seen a few white frats that did pledge and yes they used paddles. I think they were trying to impress the girls at the party or something.

Okay. Maybe I missed something, but who said that white fraternities and sororities don't haze? I KNOW they do. I was asking if entire sororities and sororities were expelled, not individual chapters- for hazing. Could anyone imagine their whole frat or soror being eliminated? That would be sooooooo bad.

I never ment to infer that just NHPC Groups were the only ones who hazed! Yes, the NIC and NPC groups have been caught hazing! Do I condone it from any Organization, NO. It is wrong, harmful, and irresposible. Do any Nationals condon it, No!

But when the News Media get ahold of anything like this, it is Greeks and only Greeks. It makes us all look bad!

Agreed. We never hear a big stink about college bands, sports teams, high schools, etc. NONE of those have ever established programs nearly as powerful as those of many of our national organizations (probably all of them).

WHO TOLD YOU THAT? Most of the members of the NPHC come through undergraduate initiation. Just because the NPHC has VERY active alum members, doesn't mean they were initiated as alum. It is true that some chapter have less than 20 active members, but there are a lot of campuses that initiate 100s at a time.
