Why do(part II).....
distanced relationship almost always seem to fail?
|
That is not alwayZ true...I know this Kappa that just got married to this Delta who he dated for a year or so on LD...
My current bf is LD...and it's working well http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif I think the keys to a sucessful LD relationship are TRUST and COMMUNICATION without them you might have well pack it up...and find someone in your own area. I have also found that if the couple is secure in themselves and don't believe that life can't go on without the other not being there...then it can work as well... ------------------ The Epitome of Beauty, Style, and Grace, Always Exemplifying Good Taste, A Zeta Woman, A Finer Woman, That's Me! While "closer distance" relationships usually take 100% of people's efforts, long distance relationships need about twice the amount of effort to make it work. As a result, some believe that they can make things work, until they find that it takes so much more dedication, patience, communication and trust. My theory is that everything happens for a reason because it is a part of God's plan for us. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif |
At this point in my life LD relationships are ideal. My career and weekly schedule is so demanding I don't have the time or energy for an extra person day in and day out. When Friday 4:30pm hits I am more than ready to be with that special person for three days non stop. Is this type of relationship the real deal? Not always because its more so a trist versus a relationship. LD relationships can work, but I believe each LD relationship has its own shelf life meaning that eventually it has to evolve in order for it to survive the long run.
