Air force ones
I went to a mall today and bought two pairs. Anyone else?
Also, do you think Nike paid them a $hit load of money to do that song? |
either Nike payed them, or they had to pay Nike for royalties of mentioning the shoe so many times. Air Force Ones are copywritten to Nike, and I think it may even be a registered trademark
|
so was it the song or the video that made you buy those?
chalk up one more for Nike either way Kitso KS 361 |
They are shoes? I thought they were airplanes.
dionysis wannabe  |
If you're referring to the shoes... they're Nike Air Force Ones, But if you're referring to the Presidential aircraft, Air Force One is actually a call sign.
The call sign is assigned to any U.S. Air Force aircraft carrying the President of the United States. Whenever he flies the VH-3D Presidential helicopter from the South Lawn of the White House to Andrews Air Force Base, the helicopter is operated by the Marines, hence its call sign when the President's aboard is Marine One. Likewise, if the aircraft is owned by the Navy or Army, then it is Navy One or Army One, respectively. Should he board a Cessna 172 owned by John Q. Public at Podunk Airpark, the callsign for that aircraft is Executive One. The primary Presidential aircraft is VC-25A 82-8000. (VC-25A is the military designation for the Boeing 747-200B aircraft). A second aircraft, serial number 92-9000, is kept as a backup. There are occasions where the President may fly smaller aircraft, such as the C-32A (Boeing 757-200), C-9C (DC-9) or C-20 (Gulfstream III) aircraft. The Vice President's call sign is Air Force Two. Same rule applies to aircraft of different services. Sorry, the Speaker of the House or others in the presidential line of succession don't rate special call signs when flying military aircraft. If the First Lady is flying alone, her call sign is Executive One Alpha. |

I've never really been one to wear a lot of tennis shoes, simply because once you scuff them up it really does phuck up your night. However, I decided to give them a shot and I bought a couple pair. Believe me, you won't see me wearing sports jerseys or head bands......but i might try a new look this weekend. It'll be a little different than the Armani/Structure look. BTW, if we didn't have sports.....I seriously think rappers wouldn't have anything to wear. |

LOL I feel like an idiot. I've got the CD, so of course I've heard the song, but I've never seen the video... I actually thought they were talking about presidential aircraft in the song, since I didn't know there were SHOES called Air Force Ones! LOL! :p

If we didn't have sports, America would be one boring ass place. Eventually, sports would have been invented. . .someone would have came up with something. As for Air Force Ones, the song. . .I heard that NIKE heard they were working on a song about it. . .and they offered to outfit Nelly and the Lunatics for any appearance they had. And if you're JUST now buying AF Ones. . .you're a little late getting on the bandwagon. There's probably some rock group out there about to make a song about. . .I don't know. . .Vans or Pumas. Then, everyone will be wearing those. |
Dude KappaT, where ya been at? I ain't heard from you in a while!
As soon as some band comes out with a song called Red Wings (the boots) i'm THERE!! Ah, i guess i'm not big on the tennis shoes much. All i really want are a white pair that'll look ok when i'm wearing shorts or jeans. Mostly i'm wearing flip flops year-round(cuz i can in Texas) or my Red Wings. Kitso KS 361 times i thought the song was about the plane too |
