Okay, so an old friend of mine (I'm serious!) just called me with a problem. Now, I don't want to get into a discussion of how terrible it is to snoop on someone's computer because we've done that on other threads and she already knows that.

Anyway, she was looking at the internet history on her BF's computer, for whatever reason. She found that he had, over the past few weeks, visited numerous porn sites, including stuff with "barely legal" girls, blowjobs, sites to get free passwords to view porn movies online, and sites where you can look at porn or chat with hot horny people of whatever persuasion.

She freaked. I didn't really know what to tell her, although I would guess that many, many guys look at porn on the internet. Do they? Is it "normal" for guys to look at porn? Do you? Would it freak you out if your BF was looking at porn at least once a week or more? Would it freak you out because he never told you he did?

I seriously hope you're kidding with this post. Otherwise, wow. And yes, EVERY single guy I know looks at porn even when they have girlfriends. Yes girls, your guy thinks of other girls and not just you.

And for you to ask is it normal: Even if it wasn't, what the hell would that mean?

I think it's pretty normal. I know my bf has porn on his computer, hell, half the time we look at it together. Sometimes I get a little insecure because of the particular type he looks at most, because it's so not me (he likes.. ahem.. well endowed girls, which I am very much not)

but I figure... hell... I like porn, and it doesn't have anything to do with me loving or not loving my boyfriend, or whether or not I'm sexually attracted to him. so why should it be any different when he looks at it? It doesn't mean he doesn't love me.


I think she should only really be worried if he's looking at something really violent, or illegal (ie. child porn, etc.) Otherwise, nah, it's not a big deal.

It's perfectly normal for guys to look at porn.

Now...if it's pregnant porn, old woman porn, or kiddie porn, then you have another issue maybe...

But honestly, most guys have looked at porn, and many do regularly.

The more I thought about it, the more I figured that most/all guys look at porn. Not a big deal, I suppose.

man, come on...it's porn. it's not like nothing crazy. most of the guys i know OWN porn.

Porn is really normal thing for most gusy to look at (and to take that one step further, most people are interested in looking at porn at some point in time).
They get turn on visually (unlike most girls who get more turned on by emotional of physical senses), and it's an easy way for them to blow off steam and help them masturbate. This is all good becuase the girls in porn are finctional! Just like you have fantasies, your man does too, he just needs someone else to paint it for him (unlike you, who can conjure images in her head without help from porn artists). The only thing your girls needs to be wary of is that he doesn't expect their sex to be porn sex. If he does, then there are issues. But I'd tell her not to worry.

Whoa, keep in mind the amount of porn that gets put on your computer without you even knowing!

From what you are telling me, he is not downloading stuff, just visiting sites. Well, there are a lot of seeminly innocent things you can type into a search engine that will redirect you to porn.

In fact, if he really were visiting all these sites, he probably would have thought to erase them in his history. Give him the benefit of the doubt, here.
