So what are you going to do for spring Break?
I 'm trying to decide if I should go on the school sponsored trips to Las Vegas and Yosemite OR if I should just spend the week on the east coast at the vineyard. I've been to both Yosemite and Las Vegas but the catch to these trips is they are CHEAP (both under $100) and prices include hotel and transport and some food for Yosemite. You're on your own@ Vegas. Yosemite is a photographers dream and I want to get good pics the next time I go.
Now on the oher hand, I want to go to Martha's simply because there is a lot of Af-Am history there and I've never been. This trip would be on my own. What's a girl to do?:D |
For Spring Break....
I'm trying to go visit my family in Dallas, TX for the week. I haven't seen some of them in about 7 years so it's time for me to get down there. My father offered to pay for my plane ticket, but I'm not sure if I should take him up on his offer. Before you tell me, "Girl you crazy??? You better take that money and run!!!" let me explain why I'm hesitant to do so. My father has a "Street angel/House devil" type of personality and I don't like being around him too much (and I live with the man!). The last time I went to TX with him, we were accompanied by my 4 siblings and my uncle, his younger brother. He paid for everyone's plane tickets. My uncle told my father thanks and told him that he'd pay him back as soon as he could. My father told him not to worry about it, as if implying that he didn't have to pay the money back. For the past five or six years, my father has dogged out my uncle behind his back saying that he owes my father the money for the plane ticket (he won't do it to his face b/c my uncle's 6'4" and about 300 lbs. w/ mostly muscle and my father's 6'2", about 125 and nothing but bones). I was planning on taking a bus to TX (I know it's about a day and a half) and suffering the consequences rather than use his money that I'd most likely have to pay back. Let me know what you guys think.......

I'm going to Tampa, FL for Spring break. While I'm going with my grandfather to visit my uncle and his family, I am PSYCHED!!!!:D My uncle and I are really close and he useed to live right around the corner from us, so I'm not used to not seeing him all the time. Plus, he still thinks he's my age (he just turned 40), so he likes to try to hang. ;)

Now I'm just a little jealous and wishing that I was an undergrad. to enjoy having a really nice spring break! As an educator - I still get the week off but it is so far away. I'm talking late April with no days off in between. I hope you ladies enjoy your breaks but please pray for me that April and warm weather come real soon! Serioussigma22:cool: |
