Vancouver 2010 Olympic Bid
 

I know this is years down the road, but us Vancouverites find out in 5 months whether or not we will be hosting the 2010 Winter Olympics - I hope it's the former.

Last week our marketing class was visited by a representitive from the Bid Committee and talked to us about the bid and showed us this awesome video - The Bid Video. I hope everyone checks it out, but just to let the GC Canucks know it will really pull at your patriotic heart strings.

That would be cool if they got it. I would think it would be tough to land it since this continent just had one in 2002 but Canada deserves it.

I see it going to Europe, or maybe Japan or Korea since they held a very successfull World Cup, and it'll be in tune with Beijing host of summer olympic.

Agree. There's some talk about Denver taking another shot at the games, but, being the only city to ever turn down the Olympic games after having been awarded them, that would be a real struggle.

A few years ago, my boss (at that time) was part of a group who wanted to bring the games to Colorado, and we produced a fantastic video in support. Wish I had a copy of it.
