Question for anyone from UMass...
I was curious as to the Spring recruitment process at UMass...because I've read many posts about the process at other schools, but from all the rush flyers I've seen it looks to me like you just show up for the recruitment parties. Is this how it is? Do I need to contact Greek Life to sign up? So many of the sororities on our campus look like wonderful organizations that I would love to be a part of. Thanks so much!

Your best bet would be to call the Greek Life office. There is an interest form for 2003 Spring Recruitment on the web site, but a phone call should also be made.

Thanks a bunch...
Thanks a bunch. I called Greek Life, but the director will be out until Tuesday (which does not work because recruitment starts sooner than that!) so I called Campus Activities and the person there wasn't sure but said "Generally, I think you would show up for the parties and they would sign you up there". I guess recruitment in the North is a little different...well that or because we have such a low percent of the community participating in Greek Life...but thank you very much for the suggestion!!! :)

Good luck!
Hi! I am a graduate student at UMass, but I don't really have a lot of information for you. My sorority is not a part of the UMass Greek system, so we hold our recruitment at a different time than the University sororities. The fliers that I have seen seem to indicate that you simply come at the posted times. You should be able to contact sorority officers directly by looking at the listings on the UMass website. They will be able to give you better direction.
I'm glad that you are interested in learning more about Greek life at UMass. Good luck, and keep us posted on your progress. Erica:) |
