when did you know love was real?

i am a hopeless(albeit SINGLE!) romantic--
my question is this:
when you found the person that you just KNEW was THE ONE, when did you know that it was love?
i knew i was in love--really, really in love-- with my best friend when he dropped out of college: the good times weren't half as good because he was gone, but i remembered before he left, even the bad times weren't really so bad after all.

When I was with my sorors after a stepshow at CAL last semester, we went to get something to eat at Bubba Gumps in San Francisco (Pier 39). So, as we're on our way to the resturant, I get a call on my cell. My boyfriend says he'll meet us there. I was estatic!:) So, my sorors and I are seated and about halfway through our meal when he arrives. My sand is sitting next to me and she turns to me and says "Isn't that him over there?" I looked and confirmed that it was indeed him. He didn't see us (crowded resturant) and the waitress directed him away from our table. So my sand tells me to go get him. More specifically she said "Girl, you better go get your man!" So I got up, and walked after him (ok, now start the sappy music) I walked up behind him and called his name and he turned around and looked at me. That's when EVERYTHING AND EVERYBODY in the room dissappeared.(Have you ever been watching a movie were the main character was in a crowded room and suddenly the camera zooms in on that person and all of the background noise dissappears? That's what it was like!) All I heard was him say was how much he missed me and he was glad to see me AFTER he kissed me. http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmilies.de/remykiss.gifWEEEEEEE! In the 29+ years I've been alive, I have never felt like that about ANY man.

Back to the story. Since we (sorors) were still eating, he decided to meet me at a reaturant/bar. He just wanted to get a bite to eat and not a full dinner. So, we all finished our dinner, and I met him at Dante's. We sat there eating gelato (sp?)--Italian ice cream-- for a good 1&1/2 hours. Feeding each other of course!;)

Although I've always known the difference between love and lust, now I really know the difference. Love is so much more wonderful, real and lasting.
And yes, I never heard the end of it from my sorors that night.

I was keeping my eye on this one :)

Ok, this is going to sound weird.

I recently found an old friend on Classmates.com. We've known each other since 10 grade, so I was really excited when I got in contact with him.

There has always been sparks between us, but I guess I know he's the one for me was durning this past couple of weeks. Durning the ice strom we had last week, he was the first one I called. He lives in California, and there was lots of rain..of course I had to call to make sure he was alright:D He was off last Saturday, so off I got home from working overtime, I rushed home to call him. And this weekend, I was hoping he would call and am a tad bit disappointed that he didn't:o

I do not know about this love. :confused:

I don't love that easily but I do know when I love someone -- he can call anytime of the day or night and I will wake up and give him my undivided attention, my heart skips a beat every time I see him or hear his voice.

this is so heart warming-- my little thread is FINALLY getting some play! i thought for sure the valentines day season would have put y'all in the mood, but i guess MARCH madness has got y'all wanting to share your warm fuzzies...

I knew when I was literally speechless. It came outta nowhere, my brain said I love this man, then I was like WHAT??!?!!!?!?! and I couldn't talk, could barely breathe, and he's on the phone like, what's wrong (cuz I got quiet) and I couldn't say anything. Somehow he figued it out, and it was reciprocated :D That's the short version.

When I listened to him and the way he spoke/speaks of his mother. She was/is as he described.

When I could talk to him about anything and just be myself around him. :) I am so in love!
