Recruitment Results?????

I haven't seen much but how did our chapters do in Spring Recruitment (Formal or Informal)???

As a start (you may have already seen), Gamma Epsilon at the University of Puget Sound took 21 girls, quota was 19. And I'm told every woman who got a bid (campus wide) accepted which is even better news!

We at Gamma Omega are just getting started with recruitment - preference is next Thursday so I'll let everyone know how things go.

My chapter, Delta Lambda, doesn't do Winter quarter recruitment, but we will probably do Spring quarter recruitment in April... this will be the first time since Spring 2000 that we've done informal recruitment.... kinda scary. We can't usually do it because total is 70 and we always get there or above during formal recruitment... and this year, 5 chapters are above total, and one (Delta Gamma) is at 56... they're doing well, so hopefully we'll increase total soon!

The Epsilon Iota chapter at Christopher Newport University has 21 new members...quota was 19, and with our 21 new girls, the chapter total is now at 67...the highest its been in years, if not ever (ceiling is 50).

What sororities do you have at CNU? We seem to be really strong (and the oldest one there), congrats!

G Phi has been here since 1988, Phi Mu came on in 1991, and Alpha Phi in 1994 (I think).

They seem to like the Phi's............. wonder if Pi Phi will be next........LOL

ok, that was kind of corny (ok, REALLY corny).............:p

nyrdrms 01-31-2003 01:52 AM

I'll be sure to let you know ;) We're in the process of expansion right now

...and just for grins and giggles, we have Pi Kappa PHI, Pi Lambda PHI, and just added Sigma PHI Epsilon....there's your Phi theory in a nutshell....lol

Preference is tonight and we have 4 wonderful ladies invited...I know that sounds tiny, so keep in mind there are only 100 Greek women on our campus - we are the second largest chapter right now with 21 ladies. I am so excited!!!!

Alpha Alpha at the University of Toronto initiated 10 women in the fall and are initiating another 5 next week for spring (informal) recruitment. Believe it or not, we're one of the 2 largest sororities on our campus.
Good luck with Spring recruitment everyone!!
:)

Gamma Omega extended bids to 3 ladies for this semester (one is holding until next because of grades) and all 3 accepted - however, 2 have since dropped. :( We will be initiating one in 2 weeks, along with 2 alumna.

So it looks like we aren't going to have Spring informal recruitment. I'm kind of sad about it because I wanted to do it one more time before I graduate (this June), but then again, I want to have that time to get closer to my sisters and not have to worry about getting to know new girls. Sounds selfish, but I want to focus on the time I have left with them (and that sounds like I'm about to die or something!). There's only one chapter that can do informal, I believe, and hopefully since they're the only one, their numbers will reach total this year. I'd love to see that before I graduate, too!

Good luck to everyone else with informal and congrats to all of you who are done for the year!

pandab3ar 03-27-2003 10:32 PM

Congrats on graduating! (i'm graduating this year as well-- and i'm definitely not ready to say goodbye to my girlies yet :( ) *sigh* what are we going to do without constant Gamma Phi love?! ahhhhh! i'm definitely NOT ready to graduate yet!! Maybe i'll become a professional student here.. hehehe..
