E-Board/E.C.
To all my Greek brothers and sisters out there,
How many of your E-Boards/EC's include the Alumni/ae Chair? |
Starting fall 2001, our alumni advisor and faculty advisor joined our executive board to form the executive council. The alumni advisor chairs the meeting, positioning the President as simply "first among equals" since the board is our best method to hold the President accountable for his duties.
We do have an Alumnae/Homecoming Committee head, but they aren't on the Exec board. They're under our VP of Marketing, so the VP reports back about all the stuff their doing.
Our Alumni Advisor and our VP- Alumni Relations are both on our exec. board :)
I show up when I have something I need to do. Otherwise I have student gov't meetings on that night. Typically outside of 5-6 officers and an alumnus other officers don't go to EC unless they need to be there for something specific.
I forgot about our Alumnae Advisors. We currently have three. Our recruitment advisor just moved to Kentucky. We have our chapter advisor, finance and chapter operations advisor, and programming and member development advisor. All our advisors can come to our Exec meetings and anything they want actually.
We have an Alumnae Chair however they are not on EC. They are a member of PC which is under the VP- Chair of Chairs.
