Did anybody watch Disappearing Acts?

Just wondering if anybody watched Disappearing Acts? I read the book about four or five years ago. It did the book justice (unlike waiting to exhale.)

My question is this...is there anybody out there that could see themselves in Zora's place? I don't know if I could do it for that long. I'm saying I'm willing to be supportive and stick by my man. But dang I don't think I could be as strong as her, not for such a long period of time.

I disagree. The movie was a totall diservice to the book. There were key parts missing that would have made the movie more effective. For instance the fact that she kept her disease from him. I think the movie was boring and monotone. There was no unexpected highlights for viewers that did not read the book. I think the best book that Terry McMillian made a movie was How Stella Got Her Groove Back.

The movie covered her seizures. She actually had an episode during the movie Like I said I haven't read the book since high school. But I thought that captured it way better than they did "waiting to exhale." (Now they left off to much in that movie.)
