Informal Spring Recruitment
 

I am so excited!!! Last night was our first event and the house was jam-packed! We had about 10 or 11 girls show up (which is really good) and we might have more come tonight. I'm really excited that so many people are showing interest in joining our amazing organization!

On another note, we have another event tonight. It's at the beach, which might be cold, but we're roasting marshmallows and having hot chocolate and tea and some hot dogs and hamburgers. I love rush!! I love Alpha Phi!!! Hehehe. :D

Tonight was the Beach Blowout event. It was really cold. Some new girls showed up, but everything was really chaotic, so I didn't see that many. Tomorrow night is our Progressive Dinner, where we go to different sister's apartments on campus. It should be interesting. I already know of a few girls that would like to join. Yippee!!!!

Oh yeah, and tomorrow is astroaphi's 21st birthday, so wish her a very happy one!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY astroAPhi!!! (Tried to catch you AIM, but you aren't signed on)

There are 3 girls I really want to join: my roommate, my old roommate, and my friend Ashley who I went to Space Camp with and is like my real life little sister. I'm pretty sure about Ashley and my old roommate, Laura, but my current roommate Tamalyn is being rushed really hard by the new local (because she was supposed to found it, but they kinda snubbed her and she was really hurt). Based upon my conversation with her yesterday, she sounds like she's leaning towards Alpha Phi, but the other girls just won't leave her alone...

Today is bid day!!!! We've already given out one bid because she's busy tonight. We're giving out the rest of them tonight. We have 6 definite bids and may give out another one tonight if she seems really excited to see us (I think she'll accept because she's awesome!). We have 11 spots open to get to total. Woohoo! We're getting bigger!!!!

My roommate accepted her bid!!!!

My old roommate (are we noticing a pattern here) is at Les Mis tonight though, and I just found out, so I don't know how we're going to give her her bid. :( I want to be there for it...

And oceanphi, if you're talking about my friend Ashley, I hope she accepts.

God, all of these girls are going to be such awesome sisters!

Right now we have 5 new members, which puts us at 34 members. We have four other girls we want to bid, plus two more that want to join, but want to wait until next semester. If those 4 accept, we'll be at total!!! We haven't been at total for a long time.

Anyway, how did everyone else's recruitment go?

Just to give you an update, my friend Ashley accepted her bid today! She is like my real life little sister so this is a very proud moment for me. I am excited that she wants to take a big step towards womanhood.

Funny thing is I was telling oceanphi and our President that I wasn't sure we should give it to her because I wasn't sure she had wanted to join after all. But after she accepted it she told me that she had been thinking about it and really wanted to do it.
