What are my brothers thinking about the State of our NATION? Is anyone stressed, does anyone care ... if your a Floridian, what are your thoughts at this moment? I am so afraid of the outcome, but I shall not worry myself, it is in the hands of the lord!! Speak out yall let me know what you are feeling!!!!

These are troubling times! While I am relieved that Mike Easley won the gubernatorial election in NC, I still find myself questioning what is happening in my state. In North Carolina, the largest percentages of registered voters are democrats. However, as a state, the greater percentage of voters cast ballots for Bush. I don't understand. . . we vote for a democrat for governor and a republican for president. Additionally, Henry Frye, an African American NC Supreme Court Justice did not win re-election.

The fate of the country seemingly is in the hands of residents of Florida. I am prayerful that the outcome is the announcement of Al Gore as President of the United States of America.

It's like y2k; it comes and goes. African-Americans are survivors. This just means we'll HAVE to unite now.

I guess, I just wish we could unite under Al Gore .... but as I said I am prayerful ...the Lord will cast the winning vote, and he knows best. If Bush gets in there must be a reason why ... Hey, maybe it is the uniting thing!!! should I try and wince a smile :-)
