Help!! Looking for Fraternity and Sorority Crests...
I am the Fraternity Education Chair for my sorority, and I am planning a project for this semester to conclude during Greek Week. My main job is to help with the education on Zeta education in my chapter, but I have made another decision. I feel like part of my job includes educating my chapter about the other NPC, IFC and NPHC chapters on our campus. I just want to give out a short fact sheet on one or two chapter each week at the meeting till Greek Week in March. Then, I am going to have a "quiz" with a prize.
So, my help from my fellow GreekChatters is this: I need the crests from these fraternities and sororities. Also, if you want to include some information that you think fellow Greeks should know about your Fraternity or Sorority. Can any of you help me please??? ;) Kappa Delta Rho Lambda Chi Alpha Pi Kappa Alpha Sigma Nu Sigma Phi Epsilon Sigma Pi Tau Kappa Epsilon Theta Chi Alpha Phi Alpha Xi Delta Delta Zeta Pi Beta Phi Alpha Phi Alpha Delta Sigma Theta Omega Psi Phi Phi Beta Sigma Sigma Gamma Rho Zeta Phi Beta Sigma Lambda Upsilon Thanks so much!! I really really appreciate it. You have no idea!! :D Meredith |
Here is a link to Alpha Phi's crest. I tried to post the picture here, but can never get it to work!

Have you thought of going to the fraternity's websites and looking there?
Usually a Google search will turn up the URL's for your fraternities. Or You could go to this URL: http://www.nicindy.org/fratsandsoro.html which gives you links to all of them :) |
this web page from the Alpha Xi Delta national web site shows the crest as well as other insignia
http://www.alphaxidelta.org/insignia.asp |
Go check out the latest copy of Baird's in you college library, it has alot of good information on all organizations.

It will take a lot of work, but try greekpages.com
Go to groups and you can go to the Greek Org that you wnat. I while this is an unpaid ad for LXA, check it out! It is the most intrict of any Greek Org Coat of Arms and the closest to the Herelidic period of the time of days of old when Knights were bold! |

The Delta Tau Delta Coat of Arms (It's not considered a Crest) is on the Google page above, but you can see just about all Delt symbols on the following link:
http://www.delts.org/images/graphics.shtml Just don't ask me to explain them. That's a no-no. |
Quote:
Lambda Chi Alpha: the cross and crescent (the crown properly goes with the helmet, not the crest) Sigma Nu: the fraternity badge Sigma Pi: the equilateral triangle with stars Tau Kappa Epsilon: a skull Theta Chi: an eagle Alpha Phi: an ivy leaf Alpha Xi Delta: a rose Pi Beta Phi: No crest (Pi Phi follows heraldic tradition in this regard; because women did not wear helmets, their coats-of-arms traditionally did not have crests) BTW, the Zeta crest would be the five-link chain. (And the Phi Mu Alpha crest is a lyre or harp. ;) ) Much more info than anyone wanted, I know. |
