Girl Scout cookies
Sadly enough,I bought 4 boxes of Girl Scout cookies. I am sitting here at work tonight, playing around online and eating peanut butter patties. Peanut butter patties and caramel delights are my favorites. The lemon ones are good too but I have to have a cup of tea with those. What kind did you get? What are your favorites?

Have you eaten all of the boxes already?! :p |
My favorite cookies are Samoas (caramel, chocolate, and coconut-YUM!) :D My little cousins are girl scouts, so we have them all the time! When I lived at home, my dad and I would fight over Samoas, but now I can order my own box! ;)

http://www.girlguides.ca/cookies/cookies3.jpg If you have a hankering for them, you can even drop by the Girl Guide shop, which is on West 8th Avenue, very close to Granville Street! (Call them first, to find out when the cookies arrive! www.girlguides.ca ) FWIW: I've NEVER had an American Girl Scout Cookie...maybe I will have to go to Seattle and buy some. Or do you have to pre-order them? Please explain how it all works, my American friends!! |
American Girl Scout cookies taste different from Canadian Girl Guide ones because it has something to do with the sugar content and something to do with the different cocoa grades used in the chocolate.
As a matter of fact, you can even taste the difference between Canadian Oreos and US Oreos, and in Canadian Kit Kats versus American ones. I finally tasted some Canadian Girl Guide thin mints, and they're pretty good, especially if you keep them in the freezer! You generally have to pre-order Girl Scout cookies, but if you can find a Girl Scout shop in Seattle, they may have some for sale. When I was in university, there was a Girl Scout office right across the street from campus..and I used to wonder how I gained so much weight! ;) |

There are only 2 kinds of Canadian Girl Guide Cookies: 1) The chocolate mint kind (these get sold in October/November) and 2) The kind where it's one row vanilla, one row chocolate (pictured a few posts up) (these are sold in Spring, usually March/April) |
