BEFORE American Idol, there was STAR SEARCH

I'm interested in seeing the show tonight, even though Arsenio is the host. Years ago on Saturdays, it was almost a habit to watch American Bandstand, then Soul Train, then later that evening to watch Ed McMahon's Star Search.

It's tonight on CBS...

What a MESS! It doesn't seem like they even had the whole production thing together. It looked like a televised talent show!

Arsenio......Who in the HELL left the gate open...and let his tail out of the "has-been" actors house. His jokes...the OJ/white women joke...come on. And why did I catch this fool say "Butter" to one of the contestants after her performance. That phrase is like so last millenium.

The Judges....please refrain from trying to use "ethnic" jokes just because a contestant is black. One female judge told the black kid (the one who did the Bow Wow thang) that he was "Illin"......WTF?

The Talent......NOT!

They must be seriously lacking funds to support this show, 'cause it was really low budget.

As for the talent, "Gucci" or whatever her name was, didn't know if she wanted to India.Arie or Lauryn Hill.....:rolleyes:

That little girl that sang "Ave Maria" was very good. With a few more years, she can be a contender for a lot of people.
