Colony Question
 

Does anyone know how long it takes for IHQ to get back to you after you have petitioned to become a colony???

I don't believe it takes to long as long as you met all the requirements. It doesn't hurt to call them to follow up and check if everything is ok because it shows you care.

call them and keep calling them untill they give it to you. hey you might even have to potition 3 times :D you never know.

we have not sent in the petition yet. I was just curious. But thanks though.

i think right now we have over 15 petitioning groups, maybe in the 20s... can't totally remember. but yea, get your petition straight and get it sent in, TKE does have some of the hardest standards for new groups, but it's worth it. just like going over the expectations with new members, they all agree that everything expected is well within reason, it just takes a little time for the wheels to start goin.

it took round about 6 months for Gamma Nu to get reestablished at the University of Toledo i believe...that was from the initial email to acceptance as a colony...though the actual initiation was a couple months after that.

Just from what i remember anyway...i COULD be wrong, but i can check with a Frater from there and get back to ya for sure..

If you're from Maryland...don't worry, they're working on it. My best friend is a greek advisor there and she mentioned to me to call IHQ and ask them to get on the ball. I know for a fact that they have called Maryland back. Keep hanging on, they're such a large fraternity and everything will happen. Just don't get frustrated and make sure to keep talking to your greek advisor, Thomas.

If it's not Maryland, then this is a silly post...but good luck anyway!

I'm actually at Plymouth State a little more north. A great friend of mine is the Greek advisor at UNH though.

Potential Pledge, keep hanging in there and call Shane at IHQ, he'll help you out.

We sent out our petition out on Monday. So hopefully we will hear some good news in the coming weeks.
