I was just wondering...
Or maybe I'm just making a hasty generalization, but was there an Alpha Phi Omega convention of some sort in New Orleans. I was walking around the French Quarter last week and saw quite a few people wearing APO letter shirts. I assumed that they must be in town for some reason besides just the Sugar Bowl. Does anybody have any idea?

Yes, the APO National Convention was in New Orleans from the 26th-30th. I was a voting delegate for my chapter. And for your info, as noted by our national president, it is illegal to wear your letters while drinking or around drinking. All those brothers you saw were breaking serious rules.
P.S. The French Quater was awesome. |
I was wondering about that myself. I thought I was the only one who noticed it.... :)

Your brothers in NOLA

I don't think the original poster said anything about your brothers drinking with their letters on or even being in bars. She said she saw them in the French Qtr., and there is a lot more to the Qtr. than drinking. |
I know the origional poster RedHot did not say anything about drinking, but I am sad to say that I saw my own brothers drinking and even flashing with letters on at night.

I streaked, I had nothing on but my APO sun visor.
Smoked a few blunts too. Come on now, there will always be a few bad apples in the bunch. Don't be disappointed because you know and I know that the majority of us KNOW better. |
