The next Real World/Road Rules challenge will be the "Battle of the Sexes" and will premiere Monday, January 6.

It appears that this will be extremely drama filled (even more than the others).

I saw a commercial for this and I am a little confused. Is it going to be four teams (RR Boys, RR Girls, RW Boys, RW Girls) or two (RR/RW Girls vs. RR/RW Boys)?

I think it's just going to be boys vs. girls...I could be wrong. I'm sure the info is on the mtv.com website

I saw the preview hosted by Ruthie [RW Hawaii] and Johnny Moseley the other day. I don't know how Johnny Moseley got involved, but I guess he's hosting the battle.

It's 36 contestants--18 guys and 18 girls...the battle of the sexes. They introduced the contestants from the different seasons--a clip of them then...and a clip of them during the battles.

They showed snippets of a wedding and of course they didn't show any faces! I wonder who it is!!!

I've been staying away from RW/RR lately, but I can't wait for this one!

I really think the wedding is between Emily (who is a KD!!) and James (who is a Beta). They've been together for 2 years and they make the cutest couple!! Or you never know, it could be a same sex marriage....I think maybe Rachel and her girlfriend?

OK sorry this isn't really related to the Battle Of the Sexes, but I noticed when I looked at that website that the new Real World is going to be filmed in PARIS?!?! Holy crap, I am

This one could be more drama filled than any other show put together.

Okay, so I just checked the MTV site for this show (http://www.mtv.com/onair/battle_sexes/) and looked at the cast lists...

It's like they looked at the previous RR and RW casts and picked the most obnoxious people!!! Especially the girls! Ugh! :rolleyes:

I was thinking the same thing. MTV seems to "type-cast" the people for RR and RW! It seems like the Battle of the Sexes should be called the Best of the Worst: MTV's Most Obnoxious and Controversial

Did anyone else notice that Colin and Amaya are both going to be on the Battle of the Sexes?

OMG!! She was the most annoying person, besides Puck, that was ever on RW......I hope Colin stays FAAAARRRRRR away...

However, I want to see if she's changed at all....you never know she might be a little bearable

As an avid watcher of both The Real World and Road Rules, I'm really looking forward to the Battle of the Sexes. I saw the preview too and it will be DRAMA, DRAMA, DRAMA. I also noticed that besides putting people on the show who had crushes/relationships with each other, they also made sure to (obviously) put people on the show who had problems with each other in the past, i.e. Beth (who should just move on...she's been on like 3 of these challenges) and David from Real World LA. (Remember the whole incident where David pulled the sheets off of Tammy and Beth said it was rape).

Another surprising thing I saw on the preview... Melissa told Julie that she doesn't like her and that they aren't friends. Strange since they had been really close at the end of the show, but it's been 2 years so a lot has probably happened.

It looks like the show is going to be entertaining for the most part. The guys all look like they're really close... I think someone had described their team as a fraternity, while the girls look as if they're pretty catty... but what else is new...

Oh yea... and do we really have to watch Tonya again... she is sooo annoying.

I also LOVE the Real World and Road Rules so I am hyped for this to begin, besides the fact the the RW Las Vegas as not been on in a while.

In terms of Julie, I read on the mtv.com website that Julie did something or said something about some people from the RW and they are not to happy with her, including Melissa.
