Getaway

One of our sisters asked me what a man hopes to accomplish by asking a female to go away for the weekend. For me a weekend trip is an opportunity to spend "quality time" without the interruptions of every day life. Now keeping it real, it can also be an opportunity for "enhanced intimacy." My point is if one asks a female to go away for the weekend implies that a brother is asking for sex?

Nooow Professor....how old are you?

Seriously, it doesn't necessarily mean there will be sex, it depends on the stage of the relationship. If there has already been sex (an ongoing relationship), then sex is most likely expected. If it is a new relationship, there could be one room with two beds and who knows where it could go from there. I work with a girl who went to Hawaii for 10 days with the man she eventually married. She wanted us to believe that she and this man she had been dating for six months hda separate rooms. I don't know about that...Hawaii?...and he bought her ticket? I'm not trying to say she owed him anything, but this was her man, a guy she had been seeing for months.

No, not necessarily. I think it depends on the individuals involved and how far into their relationship they are (because I wouldn't go away for the weekend with any guy I just met). It also depends on if they are going into the weekend with their own agenda for what they hope will happen. However, weekend getaways can provide the quality time a couple needs to get to know each other better without the distractions they may encounter at home.
