New Classics
So, I'm watching AMC tonight and they're talking about new classic movies. What do you guys think should be considered new classic movies?
Mine are: Raiders of the Lost Ark All 3 Back to the Futures Bull Durham Lethal Weapon Caddyshack Rio Bravo Blues Brothers Days of Thunder Die Hard Silverado Top Gun |
Goodfellas
Platoon Forrest Gump Pulp Fiction Titanic |
you have to include Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink.
|
There are a ton...here are a few that come to mind:
Goodfellas Saving Private Ryan Platoon Rain Man Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction (grouped together in the Tarantino category) Glengarry Glen Ross (Mamet's screenplay is unreal, the movie itself is excellent) Animal House and Caddyshack (gross-out comedy at its finest, with very good acting) Many more, I'll get back to you...I'm sorta a movie buff, so this is my thing. Oh yeah, forgot about Saving Private Ryan. The Oscars lost all credibility when some stupid non sensical chick flick won Best Picture over one of the best war epics ever made.
|
How could I forget Animal House? I'm an idiot!
