Pillowcases
 

Do any of the sororities decorate pillowcases for their little sisters, or even just in general? In my chapter, bigs decorate a pillow case for their little for an initiation gift, and the girls use these pillowcases for stuff like Recruitment and chapter events. I think they're really cute and love the pillow case that my big sister made me. My big sister is like, Martha Stewart (only not as annoying ;) ) so mine looks really nice and a lot of girls in the chapter always rave about it when I bring it out.

Unfortunately, I'm artistically challenged so my little's pillow case is going to look like crap if I ever get one. :(

Forgot to mention, the other sorority on campus, Gamma Phi Beta also does this. We have a new local starting up and I'm not sure if they're going to start doing it.

a girl I was dating made me a pillow with her letters and mine for christmas one year it was really sweet....too bad we broke up but it is still a prized possession

We don't do it as a tradition, but this year the night before initiation all the new girls got pillowcases - they said "Dream Awhile" on them (it's one of our songs) and "PC '02" or something, and had a picture of their whole pledge class screened onto it... it was really cute.

We used to make pillowcases for our littles at Eta Theta (SFSU) and filled them with all kinds of goodies and toys. We gave them to the New Member Educator and she would pass them out at the new member retreat. I loved getting my pillowcase and I loved making them too! :D

We don't do pillowcases... but we do actual pillows for our lil's Well some girls choose to decorate a pillowcase and then put the pillow in it... but most of us get the decorative throw pillows and decorate them with letters, their name,pledge class, etc... =)
