New Artist: Heather Headley
 

I just bought a new CD (It was on sale--what can I say, I'm cheap!), but I must tell you I was BLOWN AWAY! I saw Heather Headley on the CBS Morning Show a few months ago singing "He Is" and I must tell you the entire CD is the BOMB! I'm not a huge music buff (I probably buy about 4-5 CDs a year and they are usually gospel), but I'm telling you, you need to get this CD.

Heather Headley recently won a Tony for her Broadway performance in AIDA and played Nala (sp??) in the Lion King on Broadway as well..

Heather Headley's CD is wonderful. I also have the soundtrack from Aida and she is awesome on it, too.

I just saw Aida in NY last month but HH wasn't playing the lead anymore. It is now Simone (the daughter of Nina Simone). She is in the midst of recording a CD and if her performance in Aida is any indication it will be a must have, also.

I have been telling my friends about her for a long time.....I absolutely love her CD......I hope that she is well received in the music industry so that she can continue to make CDs.......

Heather Headley was just on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and was excellent.

This is THE MOST PHENOMENAL SONG that I have heard in a looooooooooong time. I can hear this song over and over and over and over. I love the different SOUNDS in the song.


I pictured the video for this song the other day. I need to write her and tell her how to do it and maybe I can be the female lead in the video because shoot I have been in the position before.

This CD is soooooooooo underrated. Dayum that Ashanti. Ashanti has no piano playing on her CD. There is no UMPH to her CD like Heather has.

Just wanted to add my $.02....

my cousin recommended this CD to me and I was hesitant at first because she also loved Moulin Rouge (a movie I can't seem to get past the first 15 minutes...)..anyway she popped the cd in and over a couple of brews I fell in love with this cd - I caught it on sale and it has been in constant rotation since!

I couldn't even watch the AMA's and the thought of Ashanti actually getting a grammy while TRUE artists like Heather are overlooked...makes me mad:mad: !

What a tangent....great CD - think of it like this ...did you get Maxwell's cd when it first came out at $7.99 or did you wait and have to pay a whole $11.99?? Get on board and join the chorus...

I bought the Maxwell CD (Urban Hang Suite), when it first came out at $7.99. I guess you could say I've been his biggest fan from the very beginning. There is none greater in my opinion.
