The End to Alpha Chapter of Delta Chi
|
This is so sad, both for the active and alumni brothers. It's not an easy decision to close a chapter. If members choose not to live in or don't pay their chapter dues, it can be devastating. I hope Delta Chi can come in and re-establish Cornell chapter soon.

It's always difficult to loose an Alpha Chapter. Best of Luck to Delta Chi in the future.

They will probably be back in force soon. Sometimes it's good to recolonize a chapter.

Um, this sounds like the alumni housing corp is merely tossing them out of the house and plans to recolonize/revitalize as soon as possible. The charter itself is still there - the house does not the chapter make. The alums can't keep up the house as a fraternity house if no one wants to live in it. Something similar happened to a fraternity at Clarion and the chapter itself was never closed for any amount of time.
so, I would say this is far from the "end" of the chapter. |
I've heard tell that Brown wont even let us recolonize our Alpha Chapter. But then again we theortically have two Alpha Chapters.
In any case lets hope the same thing doesn't happen to Delta Chi. They're not dead yet, but judging by their VPs lack of motivation Ie: "I am the last VP of Delta Chi." |
