Jet setting to Vegas!!
 

Okay, so this morning my mom suggested that we go to Vegas, so yeah, that is where I will be for a few days! :D I was online getting weather info, etc, and thought I would tell you all about a bad @$$ Christmas gift! :D :D :D I will send a virtual post card! :p GTG....Ciao!

SATX*APhi - from one who once lived in Las Vegas and whose younger brother still lives there (and works for one of the casinos as a 'boxman' (dice table supervisor)): Have fun! I'm heading out there myself over Christmas, but being a former 'local' I keep to the 'local' casinos and not the Strip or downtown casinos, which are less crowded and avoids the weekend traffic jam on the Strip.

Where else but Vegas... video poker and slot machines everywhere, even in 7-11s and laundromats! And it's a wide open town for alcohol sales: 24-7, even in supermarkets!

Beware of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police (LVMPD, aka 'Metro') - they are really strict when it comes to enforcing the law.

BTW, the slots at McCarran Airport are notoriously 'tight' (as in they don't pay out much). But you never know... :)

Ahhh, so I got back from Vegas this morning. It went well. The first night I lost $150, so I stopped gambling after that night. My dad kept telling me not to be afraid, but to spend. Had he given me a good amount to "spend" on gambling, I would have done so happily. :D I brought back some cute souvenirs and can't wait to go back this coming November! :)

Oh yeah, I heard that about the slot machines in the airport. Let me say that there are machines EVERYWHERE! Also, the whole time I was there I saw about 3 "cops" all who were security officers from different hotels/casinos. Vegas was fun! :)

I LOVE Vegas, but I hate the recirculated air and the cigarette smoke. I know you were with your parents, but did you get to hit any clubs while you were there? I'm glad to hear you had such a great time!

NO, I didn't get to go to any clubs! :( My parents are super cool and I could have gone. In fact, I wanted to go, but my biological sister was being a nerd and never wanted to go. Me, go to a club, alone, in Vegas? No ma'am! I'm going again in November. I've already done my site-seeing. November is party time!! :D

LAS VEGAS KICKS ASS! My mom and I decided to go for Christmas next year, for 10 days! I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!

Sigmagrrl, let me forwarn you. It was COLD! I loved it though. It wasn't packed with tons of people, but there was a good amount there. Have a blast!

I am actually looking forward to it being cold, because when we went in June, it was 114 degrees everyday!!!!!! I couldn't take being outside! I'm soooooo excited! It was literally HELL walking between hotels that I didn't spend as much time walking around as I wanted to, so I am looking forward to the chilly air!
