Which side of the bed and other sleep habits?
When i saw the other thread, "which side," just made me think of a random ass question-
Which side of the bed do you sleep on? I've noticed, just randomly, that a lot of times it seems to be men on the left, women on the right. But I actually prefer left... don't know why. I can deal with right, just like left better. So what side do you sleep on? Any other odd sleeping habits? For instance, I can't sleep facing anyone, I have to be facing away from them. Can't fall asleep on anyone either. It just doesn't happen |
The middle of the bed, naked, zero illumination and the fan on the highest setting.

I must have a fan on too!!!!

the right side. i don't know why.

1. I sleep either directly in the middle of the bed or else I lay horizntally instead of vertically
2. I have to have a nightlight on or else I can't sleep 3. I like to have the TV on but it has to be on mute 4. The covers have to be pulled OVER my head 5. Have to sleep with a certain pillow, it's all old and nasty but I can't sleep without it 6. I also have to have my fleece blanket, my baby blanket I got when I came home from the hospital and my pink and white stuffed cow, Butterscotch, that I've had since I was two 7. I kick in my sleep and throw stuff too, which is why I'm no longer allowed to sleep on the top bunk, last year I threw my portable cd player off my bed and hit my roommates boyfriend on the head since he was in the bed below me. Oops! :) 8. The window has to be open, all year long, or else I can't sleep! Ok, yea I am weird, it's a wonder I sleep at all! :D |
Re: Which side of the bed and other sleep habits?
I sleep on the right side of the bed and I have to lay on my right side.

I can't sleep facing anyone either. It creeps me out. I think they're staring at me and I can't get to sleep. |
i'm one of those people that MUST have something on top of them (sheet or blanket) or i can't sleep....
and i usually stick a foot out of the covers for..."ventilation" i don't know! when it comes to sleeping w/ people....i can't be touching them...unless it's like my head on my boyfriend's chest...but other than that...i just can't...! |
lua- i agree, one foot out! sheet on no matter what! :)
i like sleeping with people sometimes, but sometimes i just need my space, you know what i mean? :) |
I need spreading out room, I can't sleep right next to someone. Sleep is so precious, you can't mess with it!

i gotta have the left side. thats where im comfortable and thats where all my stuff is :)

Heh..I sleep on the floor 80% of the time....
My bed is queen size and extremely comfty...but..I like the floor. *nods*But when I do sleep on an actual bed I have to have heavy blankets on me and be completely covered. I normally sleep on my stomach or on my back..never a side. |
1. Complete darkness
2. Complete silence except for... 3. The 12 inch fan on my nightstand blowing at me 4. Two pillows 5. Sleeping on the right side of the bed 6. No body contact; I am not a snuggler 7. My down comforter, 4 seasons a year 8. Cannot stand to have my legs or feet covered 9. Must slather my lips with Rosebud Salve and keep the tin within arms reach Looking at this list, I guess I am pretty picky. It's a wonder I sleep at all! |
I have to be away from a wall, if the bed is against a wall, or else on the left. I want the room as dark as possible--I turn off computer monitors and speakers. The only exception is the alarm clock. No music, no noise--I have a noiseless ceiling fan to this end. I can't even have ticking clocks. Body contact is fine, but I'd rather it be him holding me from behind. I hate to bump noses at night. And I have to have at least a sheet over me and lots of pillows.
Yeah, I'm picky, too. ~Emma |
I don't care what side of the bed just as long as i have the bed to myself. I think tv shows had a good idea in the 50's when couples had separate beds(couldn't show that couples actually do sleep together when married). I need to sleep by myself. I don't like to look at people while sleeping. I also prefer to use the pillow to cover my face than to sleep on it.

I sleep in the center of the bed. When I was with my ex, I would sleep on the left. I have to have complete darkness when I sleep, the closet and bedroom doors as well as all drawers must be closed, and unless I am freezing I cannot wear socks to bed!
