Help Needed for Non-Cook!

Me who doesn't cook is planning on taking dessert to my bro's house for C-Day. I found a great recipe for Peach Almond Upside Down Cake. The bummer is that is says to serve with Fruit Topping (recipe below). GUESS WHAT ISN'T BELOW!!!

So any ideas on something super-simple low fat/low sugar??

No I do not know any of the low/low!

If you have a ice cream freezer, I will give my formula to you! It is GOOOOOOD!!!!!!! You can put any topping on it! Or put it on many fruit pies!

Easy to fix and they will love it., Gaurentee it or you can come to Kansas and Spank me!:D

Hell it is an eating day! Get fat, sleepy, and mellow!:D

Unfortunately, I will eat, and turn back home for a 2 1/2 hr drive homeward!:(

You will be great!:)

Do you want a whole new recipe or how to make a fruit topping?

Suggestions for other desserts:
Jello... can't go wrong there... they usually have books on how to make some kick ass jello salads with fruit and whipped cream and stuff... all can be made with sugar free stuff... i think
warm Gingerbread - this stuff rocks
cookies, cookies, cookies: if you need something super quick, check the fridge section at the store and Pilsbury usually has some easy bake novelty out for the season.

For your cake...
What about getting a jam or topping they put on ice cream sundaes? The fruit topping can't be that difficult... it's probably just syrup of some sort and fruit. (of course, i don't really cook either.)
Or try a substitute: chocolate syrup? powdered sugar? whipped cream? I don't know...
Or what about fresh fruit as a garnish?

i am spent... and hungry...

GC comes thru again!!!

Thanks, Rudey!!

That was exactly the one I was looking for!

When I go back to the bookstore, I'll have to see if the topping is included in the 1001 dessert recipes book!:D
