theta nu help
 

Hey ladies- I am an alum from the Theta Nu chapter at Elon Univ. and recruitment is coming up soon. Our chapter is strong right now, but needs a little help since it is now competeing with two other chapters that are extrememly similar and are pretty new- Sigma Kappa and AXO. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make us different?
I am planning on going down to help my girls bc I love recruitmen (i am such a sorority-girl dork!) so let me know!

well I haven't been through recruitment on "the other side" yet, but I'm really looking forward to it since i was appointed Rush Assistant...yay!

anyhoo, I know that at my school, one thing that I really liked about Alpha Xi is that at prefs, we do a ceremony (much like pledge-in). I'm not sure if thats what other chapters do as well on prefs. But the thing about it was that during the ceremony that I saw at Alpha Xi, you could really sense the love that everyone felt for each other, for what we stand for, and for our letters. if you guys already do a ceremony, my suggestion is to just really uphold the beauty of it and when talking to the pmns before hand, tell them to *really listen to the words*. I was told that at prefs, and I did, and it stayed with me through all the other ceremonies...pledge in, pre i, initiation...and at each one it just re-emphazized to me that coming to Alpha Xi was one of the best decisions that I have ever, and I think will ever make.
