a "different" kind of mixer
 

I went to the last meeting for the semester last night to wish some of the new alumnae well. During "visitor time" we had a member of the men's rugby team come in and propose a mixer beween them and us Chi Delts. I thought it was a fabulous idea... something completely different and maybe a change from mixers with fraternities. Has any other organization tried having a social event with a non greek organization? How did it turn out? Theme ideas? Rules... since the rugby team probably doesn't have 'mixer' rules according to IFC obviously. Just trying to get some ideas... i don't know if the house will go thru with it since they were looking at days during winter vacation... but I just thought it would be fun... what do you all think?

We have done a mixer in the past with a group of guys from the baseball team. They happened to be our powder puff coaches so we played football with them. This year we plan on playing mud football with them, which is always comical.

our school always does non-greek mixers, mainly sports teams... its fun!

Last year... Beta Theta Pi put on a dodgeball tourny for their philanthropy... and the winners of the guys and girls.. got a mixer. Well it was down to us and another sorority ... and the TENNIS team had won the guys [they were damn hot].

Our syke speach was pretty much - "ok girls, let's kick their a$$'s... and win a mixer with the tennis team". Sadly the other team had a HUGE girl [coulda been a linebacker] in the middle, pegging us like no other.... seriously, it was scary. We did good getting the other girls, but there was no way we could get her.... so.. sadly, we lost.

But it would have been nice :( [sorry im still bitter.. lol]
