Any new ideas for Scribe Position
Hi I just got the E-board position of scribe or correspondence secretary for my sorority. I know that I have to send out cards and letters appreciating other sororities, fraternities, and numerous organization. I just mailed out "finals greetings" to the Panhellenic sororities and IFC fraternites. My question is Does anyone know of any fun things that they have done with this position? Or have any creative ideas for cards, crafts, or letters? Or ways to send them?
Thanks Annice FSS Phi Sigma Sigma |
Here are some ideas of other things to do.. well that I know our correspondence secretary does..
she is responsible for making sure that all the other officers know of deadlines to make sure things get to nationals and panhellenic on time. Something creative that you could do for your chapter are birthday cards (and announce during your meeting at an appropriate time).. ... also maybe appreciation cards to members in your chapter who do something nice for the chapter that week.. this is if you dont do these things already.. everyone likes getting thanks for nice things they have done.. :) |
maybe email the meeting minutes to the sorority members to they can review them before the next meeting?

My chapter has a site on myfamily.com that only members can visit. On there we have a site for news, a calendar, history(which has meeting minutes), photos etc. It also is nice that the calendar lists all the meeting places, times and events, so if someone misses meeting they can check online. Also address/phonenumbers are on the site too. It works great!!! You can also see which sisters have stopped by to check the news and from what I can see a lot of girls check the site and more than once a day too.

Send Valentine's to all the fraternities with flowers and candy.
