I don't know if your chapter does anything with the alums or if you even have a house, but I know that the Kappa Chapter does something every holiday where they invite alums and their children over for cookie baking.

You all could also go do some caroling together at a retirement villiage or a veteran's home too. That'd be something nice to do.

Those are just a few ideas!

In college, my roomies and I hosted a Christmas party and had all the sisters draw names for Secret Sisters (aka Secret Santas). It was nice to see all the girls before we went off on break. :)

We are having a sisterhood event on wednesday. We are all wearing PJ's ( actually family sweatshirts and pj pants) and we are decorating our christmas tree, making hot chocolate, and sitting by the fire! It will be nice and relaxing!

At our chapter we draw names from a hat during chapter and the following week we have a holiday party where we distribute gifts to everybody. We had ours this past Friday, it was really fun! it's also cool because a lot of our sisters are jewish and we even lit a menorah and sang songs :) . I know some of the sisters are also volunteering with make a wish at the mall to wrap gifts.

Our chapter does a $5 gift exchange. They do a really cool way of dispersing the gifts however. All the gifts are put under the tree and randomly given/handed out until everyone has one. Then, the read aloud "'Twas the Night Before Christmas." Everytime the word "the" is read, you pass the gifts to the right one person. It is hilarous to watch and shows your listening skills. After the story is done, you go around and show what you ended up with and say something nice about your gift (how you will use it, what you like about it.)

This year the advisory board had all the activies over to an advisor's home nearby the school. The advisors provided the food and we did the gift exchange there. The advisor's home was lovely and it made everyone feel at home.
