Honda Element
This car is coming out sometime this December. If I like the test drive I think I'm going to have to have one:D
http://element.honda.com/images/bann...oto_08_mid.jpg It has some really interesting features like suicide doors, the rear seets fold down and then to the sides to make it have capacity like a pickup.. I figure the looks would grow on me eventually. |
As long as you're not racing it on the streets, nearly slamming into a group of kids, then hey, what an awesome rigg.

i agree, ZetaAce!!!!!!!!!

I don't care about looks but functionality! I like the fact that I can get this much cargo space:

Wow, that is a lot of space!! Cargo room is always a must.
But then again, the Escalade has a lot of space too and it's preeeeeeetty. :) http://us.autos1.yimg.com/autos.yaho...3/ESCALAD8.jpg Edited to add: Yes, I know the Escalade costs about 3x as much! lol |
Are you serious, kevin??? You actually like this pile of crap?
Honda is looking for a quick buck - aka pontiac aztek or the new ford explorer sport. Vechicles for the individual that can't decide if they want an SUV, Truck or Sedan. Maybe you should consider the Toyota Highlander instead. |
U-g-l-y you ain't got no alibi, this honda is ugly!

I also am not a fan of this vehicle... yuck! :)

For my Intro to Media Advertising class I just finished a media plan/buy for the Element. We had $25 million to spend for a 4 month campaign that hit all major media types. I've done so much research on the Element that I'm sick of it, and the vehicle isn't even out yet!
It doesn't surprise me that ktsnake likes it though, since college guys are the Element's target audience. Honda wanted to start getting gen y to be Honda buyers for life, so along came the Element. Honda actually went to the X games research and get in the minds of gen y guys. From this, they decided to include features such as suicide doors, wipe down seats and floor, an MP3 player and video-game auxiliary jack, fold down seats, lots of space (enough to fit some type of surfboard a certain way), and a bunch more things guys would like. But I still think its ugly. If you want to learn more, check out Honda Element Web Site. |
i think everyone needs to stop looking at buying imported cars, trucks and suvs. I dont know about this honda element, i think there are several vehicles that can do the same thing. also, is there some reason you need all the space? is there anything you need a lot of cargo room for?

It may be Honda but it's made in Ohio I believe.

KtSnake- I think chopper's point is Buy American! LOL Am I right Chopper? I have a shiny non-American car, so I don't have any comments about that. ;)
Nwsigkap - I'm glad to know I'm not in the target audience for the Element! LMAO ZA |
It is American. I am sure that it is built by American Honda Motor Co. at the plant in Marysville, Oh. The U.S. is the only major SUV market in the world because SUV's use more gas and gas is cheaper here than anywhere except where we import it from. Yes, American Honda's parent company is based in Japan, but what about Daimler/Chrysler? Ford owns Mazda, so is Mazda now American? Ford owns Volvo and Jaguar as well, are they American? BMW X5 is made in S.C. and I think that the 3 Series is as well. The M Class Benz is made in Alabama. I think that American made is where the car is made, not where the parent company is located.
