Vice Pres.
I am somewhat excited. I was just elected Vice-Pres. of my chapter. I am only a sophmore, so I am happy. I was nominated for pres. but withdrew my nomination because of a lot of pressure from outside people and things. Anyways, I am VP, ritual chair, and corresponding sec. Oh and I am running for a position on panhellenic board, I find out on friday, if i am on panhel. Next Semester is going to super busy. If anyone has been VP before, any advice would be great. Who else is holding positions next semester in their chapter?

Congratulations on your new exec position!!!!
Good Luck on your time management next semester!!:D (Whew!!) |
What kind of pressure did you get to withdraw a nomination for PResident??

Congratulations!!

Congratulations! I also have a exec. board position along with being the Bylaws Chairperson, and holding a Panhell position...So I know how you feel..if you ever need to talk.

Good luck! I was Vice President of my chapter when I was a sophomore also. :)

Congratulations. I was Lieutenant Commander of my chapter a couple years ago (same as VP essentially). My main job was to run exec and coordinate the activities of all of the other officers while picking up whatever slack our Commander (President) left.
It can be a really simple, do-nothing job or it can be the toughest one in your chapter. Depends what you want to make it. You are in the position to make a huge difference within your chapter. I'd recommend reading some books or taking a class on effective small group meetings if your job is similar to what I did. |
