Brothers,

It is with an extremely heavy heart that I report to you the death of Founding Bro. Webster Lewis. Last night, I received word of our loss from Brother Dwayne Dixon, Director of Marketing, from Chicago, and confirmation this morning from past-Grand Polaris, Bro. Jerry Pittman, in Baltimore.

Bro. Pittman informed me that a memorial service for Bro. Lewis is
tentatively being planned in Baltimore by the family. I will, of course, forward all information regarding details of Bro. Webster's death, as well as 'homecoming' information as I receive it. Presently, this is all the information I have concerning the loss of Bro. Webster.

As for now, please inform any and all Brothers in our Fraternity of our loss, and prepare to send condolences to the family when that information is received and disseminated.

My condolences are to the family of Iota Phi Theta. For I to lost two brothers from my organization in a span of 4 months this year. My prayers are extended to you and your founders family.

My prayers go out to Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. and family in the loss of one of your founding brothers. Many you all feel peace during this time of sorrow.

I know the Fellowmen of the Mother Bear (Morgan State) and D.C. Grad will be sending thieir deepest sympathies. From the Nation of Groove Phi Groove as we have lost a Founder in this present day, the Precious Pearl Fdr. Harry Payne, we feel your loss and your pain. Their lives were not in vain as they will both be forever remembered in both our spirits and through our organizational growth. I don't know how many Iota's have met any of you guys' founders but to all that have not, reach out to them and learn as much as possible from them so that the focus of the organization always is on point. I personally have met 7 of our 14 founders and will not be complete until I meet the 6 left of the remaining founders of our beloved Organization. So in this time be strong brothers for our missions are really just beginning!
