Can a colony participate in recruitment if they are not being intiated till march? Also does a colony get there charter before they become intiated?

I was initiated into LXA when we became a Colony!

We rushed along with everyone else.

Yes, a colony can participate in formal or informal rush. It depends on the situation and what the national wants to do.

Usually the members are initiated and then the chapter itself is installed. I think that it's 2 different nights so non-members can attend the installation.

Don't know about your organization but we had 3 years of formal rush under our belt before we became a chapter. So yes, we did participate.

In our case we were initiated and the chapter was installed kind of at the same time.

We recieved our actual physical charter at a banquet dinner that was open to the public.
