Interesting Tri Sig facts I did not know
The book "Where the Heart Is" was written by a Tri Sigma.
A Tri Sigma created the Care Bears. Sigma Sigma Sigma is the only sorority in Alaska. Sigma Sigma Sigma is the first sorority with an international chapter. Sigma Sigma Sigma is the only sorority with a hearing impaired chapter |
Actually, I believe Delta Zeta has a chapter at Galludet University - an institution specifically for the deaf and hearing impaired.

And Theta Phi Alpha is colonizing at the University of Alaska-Anchorage (according to their website).

Oh ok I just got this off a Tri Sig site I ran across, now I know not all of that is correct.

'sokay...it was probably all correct when it was written! Things change quickly, don't you know. :D |
All of that info is correct! I'm not sure if the Theta Phi Alpha colony has been started at the University of Alaska, Anchorage yet, their Greek Life website doesn't say. TriSigma was the first Sorority to have a chapter in Alaska, at my school, the University of Alaska Fairbanks, in 1993.

One more thing...
One thing I forgot, I'm pretty sure we were the first to have a deaf chapter at RIT school for the deaf, though there may now be more sororities with hearing impaired chapters.
