Proposals & Women

I did a search and am surprised this has not been asked.

Ladies, would you ever propose to your significant other?

Men, how would you feel if your significant other proposed to you?

Has this ever happened to anyone?

As much as I would love the traditional-type of proposal where my man asked me to marry him...I would ask him to marry me.

As a matter of fact, I already told my guy we're getting married (although that was not an official proposal 'cuz I didn't have a ring for him), but he got my point.:D

No I wouldn't.

I don't have anything against a woman who choses to propose to her significant other, but I wouldn't do it, because I'm a little old fashioned when it comes to that.

my 2 cents...

I would love and expect the traditional proposal, but if it comes down to it I think I might be able to propose...it depends. However, I have always dreamed of that fairy tale wedding ;)

I would NEVER propose to a MAN! I think that would set a tone in a relationship that I would not want ! When a man finds a wife, he finds a good thing! It's not the reverse. I'm not in that much of a rush to be married. If he doesn't want to ask me, it's not meant to be.

Nope, Never, Naw!

I guess that I'm traditional but I would never propose to a man. I just can't do it. I want a very traditional proposal. On bended knee, gorgeous diamond ring, expensive champagne, maybe even a horse drawn carriage.

I know a few women that proposed to their significant other and they're quite happy with their relationship. They didn't care about tradition but knew what they wanted. Some might call it desperate but I admire a woman that goes and gets what she wants, damn what anybody else says. Then again I know a woman that's 35 and still waiting for that one special man to ask her to marry her. She recently broke up with another BF and no new prospect in sight.

Well I guess I'll be that 35 year old waiting for that one special man because I'm not asking. Eight more years before I reach 35, then I guess I'll start my waiting.... If that's the way it will be, so be it. I'm not knocking those who would do it, but it ain't me. ;)
