I have looked at the national website and all, but I was wondering....
1) Why is the teddy bear the "unofficial" mascot?
2) Do some chapters have a local mascot? (I know Gammi Phi Beta does this-they have national colors & a symbol and local colors & local mascot)
3) Is there a crest or coat of arms?
4) Do the colligiate chapters rush with NPC? ( I know Beta isn't NPC-but that doesn't mean you can't be part of NPC)

I have a friend who is going to start a chapter .....
 

and I believe they are going to use "Pooh Bear" as their mascot. That's in keeping with the unofficial mascot, but also making it their own. I know a few other sororities/orgs use the teddy so I thought that was cute and a little more original. There's also TONS of pooh stuff and he is gold & black-like the colors. Anyhoo-just my .02. :D
