good things to put on e-board application
 

well I have to turn in my eboard application in tomorrow and i still dont know how to sell myself. i would like to apply for the position of recording secretary and i am at a loss for words. i have been a dedicated member for a year and a half and was given the position of sistherhood chair this passed fall. i am always the sister you see at every event wearing our letters with pride. i do a great job nominating "sis of the week", holding sno nights, and our annual serenading night. i still like to go out with the girls on the weekend, but i know what my priorities are. i am the one who gets to do the grunt work if none of the others want to do it. i am happy for doing it, because i love my chapter and what sigma kappa stands for. i even went to az for convention. i am so worried that if i try out for this position i will not get it. so if anyone out there would like to help me out that would be greatly appreciated.

I think everything you just shared with us in your post will do just fine :-) Just highlight all the things you have done, examples are good! And be sure to relate them to the duties of recording secretary and an eboard member.
You sound like a very enthusiastic member who is loyal and dedicated - Your sisters have probably noticed all you do for the chapter. Trust in your sisters and you will surely get slated for the position they feel you will do best in to strenghten the chapter. ;)

ok...so yesterday was the longest sorority day ever. i had to go to work at eight and end at two, but our panhellenic program was at three. then we had panhellenic general body meeting which was for election. they wanted a sig kap to be pres, but she wanted to see if she could be our pres first so another girl got slated. there are now two newly elected sigma kappas on panhellenic board!!yeah:) finally after sitting in the big auditorium for an hour and a half we had to go and have our meeting. this meeting was long too, because we had elections. the funny but sad thing was that our president had food poisining and had to leave the meeting before we even got to take care of buisness. After a long and tiring day we finally got to know who was on executive council. the girl who they wanted as pan pres is now our pres. and as for me................................................ .................................................. .................................................. ....................................
i am now the newly elected Recording secretary !!!! i got the call from our abc on saturday that i was slated and i couldnt believe it. i was so nervous, because another girl wanted the position, but now she wants the position that i do now which is sisterhood.
i am so happy. everything wOrked out for the best. thank you for your support. luv ya ALL!!!:D :D :D
